BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Aubrie Russell led the way for the St. Bonaventure women's cross country team on a soggy course at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
Russell ran the 6K course in a time of 22:59 to finish 104th in a field of 386 runners in the "Brown" race.
Freshman Rachel Guyer was second for the Bonnies at 23:41, taking 183rd overall. Fellow freshman Emily Izydorcak ran a 23:50 for 198th.
Sophomore Hailey Gattuso turned in a time of 23:52 and freshman Lindsay Weaver clocked in at 24:17. Also competing for the Bonnies, Nicolette DiMura ran a 24:29 and Julia Mericle was in at 25:23.
Running in the women's open, senior Maggie Schunk turned a time of 26:06 and junior Courtney Brinsky finished in 26:15. Sophomore Alexis Young ran 27:42 and junior Allison Field finished in 27:48.
The Bonnies will have two weeks to prepare for the Albany Invtiational held in the state capital on Oct. 17.
