Box Score ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure Bonnies defeated the Richmond Spiders, 2-0, at the Marra Athletics Fields Complex. Sophomore Danielle Vis scored both goals for the Bonnies.
While the Spiders outshot the Bonnies 14-9, the Bona defense held tough in front of goalkeeper Beth Moore, who saved eight shots.
The game was quiet until the Bonnies broke the silence at the 35:54 mark as Lauren Hill fed Danielle Vis on a perfect through pass, who punched it in to put the Bonnies up 1-0. The score would hold through halftime.
Ten minutes into the second half, Abby Maiello was fouled in the box and took a free kick, but the Richmond goalkeeper saved both the shot and rebound attempt.
With 14:27 remaining in regulation, Danielle Vis scored her second goal of the game and put the Bonnies up 2-0 after a free kick from Maiello was deflected in front of the net. Vis put in in the bottom-right corner past the diving Richmond keeper.

- Gabriella Balseca tied her season high of two shots in the first half.
