The St. Bonaventure women's swimming & diving team closed out the first day of the Pittsburgh Invitational in third place.
Tanja Kirmse led the Bonnies with a third place finish in the 500-yd freestlye. The senior touched the wall with a time of 4:53.04.
Kirmse was also a part of the 400-yd medley relay. The team finished seventh with a time of 3:52.22. Along with Kirmse, the team also consisted of Devon Mcfadden, Maria Rocchi and Elizabeth Malone.
Both relay teams posted top eight finishes tonight. The Bonnies came in eighth in the 200-yd freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.85. In the pool for the Bonnies was Maggie Woods, Lex Scanlon, Rachel Taylor and Brdiget Jordan.
Brittany Hart, current Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, finished seventh overall in the 1 meter diving event. She finished the day with a total score of 221.55.
