OPENING TIP OVERVIEW
St. Bonaventure will make its return to action following a week off for final exams on Saturday at Colgate, marking the first game away from the Reilly Center in 17 days.

The Bonnies went into the break for finals as one of the hottest teams in the country, winning seven straight games including four in the span of eight days at home last week.

Colgate, meanwhile, will look to snap a three-game losing streak after hosting UConn and Gonzaga in setbacks last weekend.

ABOUT COLGATE

  • Colgate enters Saturday's game 1-7 overall on the season, but has had a very challenging non-conference schedule. The Raiders dropped a contest at nationally-ranked DePaul on Nov. 27 (96-46) and last week fell at home to top-ranked UConn (94-50) as well as Gonzaga (80-50). Colgate is still seeking its first home win (0-3) – its lone victory came at LIU Brooklyn on Dec. 5, 63-53.
  • The Raiders will open Patriot League play next Tuesday, traveling to Lafayette.- Opponents have averaged 77.6 points per game against Colgate while shooting 43.4 percent from the flood including 38.4 percent from beyond the arc.
  • Senior guard Paige Kriftcher paces the team, averaging 13.8 points per game and a team-high 18 three-pointers. Senior forward Josie Stockill adds 12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per contest. Stockill averages 3.9 blocks per game and is among the national leaders with 31 on the season.
  • Forward Mylah Chandler was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring 16 points with seven rebounds in three games last week.
  • Colgate was picked to finish seventh in the Patriot League Preseason Coaches Poll after winning its final three conference games a year ago, adding win in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Raiders went 7-11 in conference play a year ago, their most wins against Patriot League foes since the 2003-04 squad won the league title.

SERIES HISTORY WITH COLGATE
The Bonnies lead the all-time series, 13-6, and have won the last five meetings between the in-state foes. St. Bonaventure and Colgate have played each of the past three seasons, with the Bonnies pulling out single-digit victories in 2012 and 2013 before winning at home, 65-49, a year ago. In the last meeting, Nyla Rueter powered the Bonnies with 19 points and Katie Healy finished with 12 as SBU shot over 53 percent from long range (8-of-15). Josie Stockill posted 15 points with four blocks for the Raiders. In the last meeting at Cotterell Court, the Brown and White escaped with a 77-72 victory on Nov. 10, 2013.
