Quotes From Head Coach Mark Schmidt
"I thought we didn't play great in the first half, but we came out in the second half and we played the first eight minutes terrific. We defended, we rebounded, we took care of the ball and we outscored them by 13 and we were up by four. When we came out of the timeout we weren't moving the ball, we turned it over five straight times with the inside pass and that's why we lost the game."
"We tried to fight back but we struggled with getting second chance points. We missed so many easy baskets and layups, and we were struggling from the three-point line; we need to make those easy baskets and we didn't do a good job with that. We had the lead and we just turned the ball over too many times … you can't do that against a good team like Richmond."
"We had some success (scoring in the paint) but you can't throw the ball in on one pass. You have to move the ball and move the defense; they load up if you throw it in on one pass and they load up the back side. We lost our poise and you can't do that."
Up Next: St. Bonaventure plays its next two games on the road beginning with a visit to Saint Joseph's this Saturday at 7:00.
