The Short Story:
The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team began its Atlantic 10 conference schedule with a loss to Duquesne, by a score of 5-2.

The Bonnies picked up both its points in single play, as freshman Hector Martinez and senior Trevor Haskell earned victories. Haskell went on to defeat his opponent in straight sets, while Martinez had to work for his point. Martinez dropped the first set 6-7, but fought back to win the next two sets 6-2 and 7-6. Four of the six matches in singles play went to the tie-breaker set.

St. Bonaventure was swept in doubles play. The duo of Victor Blanco and Eduardo Irizarry almost squeaked out a victory, but came up short as they lost 8-7 (7-5).

Martinez picked up his eighth singles win of the season, while Haskell collected his fourth.
