@BonniesGolf Ends 14th of 23 in Whiting-Turner Towson Invite; Dunnigan Finishes 27th


GRASONVILLE, Md. – St. Bonaventure improved by six shots in the final round and finished in 14th place out of 23 teams in the Whiting-Turner Towson Invitational at Prospect Bay Country Club.

The Bonnies shot 320 in Sunday's second and final round after opening with a 326 on Saturday.  Their 36-hole total of 646 was one shot better than Sacred Heart, four better than IUP and five clear of Penn. 

Arkansas won the tournament at 589 followed by William & Mary at 605 and Seton Hall in third at 613.

St. Bonaventure senior Daniel Dunnigan played one of the best tournaments of his career, leading the Bonnies with rounds of 77 and 79 for a total of 156 (+14). Dunnigan tied for 27th place in the field of 118 players.

Junior Josh Stauffer was the Bonnies' next low man at 161 on rounds of 81 and 80. Freshman Corey Long was one shot behind Stauffer at 85-77/162. Fellow freshman Patrick Sheerer carded identical rounds of 84 while junior Patrick Milkovich shot 84-88/172. 

The Bonnies' next tournament will be the Greenbrier (W. Va.) Invitational April 13-14.
