@BonniesGolf Ends Eighth In Atlantic 10 Championship

HARMONY, Fla. – St. Bonaventure finished eighth in the Atlantic 10 Golf Championship, which was completed on Sunday at Harmony Golf Preserve.

The Bonnies started out poorly and could not make up much ground during the final round. St. Bonaventure started the day in a tie for fourth place in a tightly-bunched field, but posted a four-man score of 308 Sunday to finish the Championship at 890. 

VCU ran away with the A-10 Championship, finishing 13 shots ahead of Richmond at 854 (-10). Davidson finished third at 869 while Rhode Island and George Mason tied for fourth at 874. Dayton (876) was sixth and Saint Joseph's (880) ended seventh. St. Bonaventure finished ahead of George Washington (893), Fordham (904) and La Salle (915) in the 11-team field.

Sunday, all five Bonnies played the front nine over par. Junior Josh Stauffer, who entered the day in a tie for sixth place at two-under par, was eight-over when he made the turn. Stauffer rallied to play the back nine two-under and finished at 78. His championship total of 220 (+4) put him in a tie for 18th place. 

Senior Daniel Dunnigan played the front nine in one-over par 37 highlighted by an eagle on the par five eighth hole. He finished with a 76, which was the Bonnies' best score of the day. He ended up at 223 (+7) and in a tie for 29th place.

Junior Patrick Milkovich and freshman Patrick Sheerer both shot 77 in the final round. Milkovich finished at 224 and in a tie for 33rd place. Sheerer ended at 231. 

Freshman Corey Long shot an 86 on Sunday to total 233 for the Championship.

VCU's Adam Ball won the A-10 individual championship, shooting his second straight 68 after an opening 66 for a total of 202 (-14). He finished seven shots in front of Richmond's Matthew Lowe.
