The Short Story:
The St. Bonaventure baseball team was blanked on Friday, May 15, as it was defeated by the VCU Rams, by a score of 11-0.
The game was quiet for the first two innings, but got out of hand when the Rams scored in six consecutive innings. VCU's biggest inning of the day came in the fifth inning when they added three runs.
Junior Thad Johnson put himself alone in seventh all-time in a single season with 67 hits on the year. Johnson notched two hits today, both being singles. The Frewsburg, N.Y. native will have a shot at the Top 5, as it just one hit away.
Increasing their current hitting streaks was freshman Cole Peterson and junior Ted Dilts. Both Peterson and Dilts are currently on their longest hitting streak of the season, as Peterson has six, while Dilts has five.
Senior catcher Dylan Dunn had his 12th multi-hit game of the season.
Drew Teller earned the loss for the Bonnies after 6.1 innings pitched and giving up 10 runs on 12 hits. Heath Dwyer of VCU improved his record to 8-2, as he threw eight scoreless innings.

St. Bonaventure will be back in action on Saturday, May 16 for the final game of the season. The Bonnies will celebrate their five seniors after the conclusion of the game.
