@BonniesTennis Competes In The Army Shootout

The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team kicked off the 2015-16 season when it competed in the
2015 Army Shootout over the weekend. 

There were no team scores kept during the tournament. Only individual matches were scored. On Saturday, St. Bonaventure faced the Army black squad as well as the All-Star team. 

The lone doubles win for the Bonnies came when TJ DeSanto and Jacob Mishkin defeated David Proctor and Ron Verano 6-4. 

In the singles match, the Bonnies were impressive winning four of the six matches. Eduardo Irizarry, Miki Nobuzawa, Jacob Mishkin and TJ DeSanto all notched singles wins. 

On Sunday, the Bonnies played one match vs. the Army Gold. In doubles action, Hector Martinez and Carlos de La Cruz defeated Michael Sienko and Daniel Zheng 6-4. 

In singles, the Brown and White again won four of the five matches. Eduardo Irizarry, Victor Blanco, Miki Nobuzawa and Carlos de La Cruz all recorded victories.

St. Bonaventure will continue it's fall schedule Friday, Sept 25 when they travel to the Navy Invitational.
