@BonniesXC Finish Second, Canisius Captures Little Three Title

St. Bonaventure opened the 2015 women's cross country season with a second place finish at the annual Little 3 Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Canisius would take home the team title accumulating 23 total team points. The Golden Griffins placed six runners in the top ten. St. Bonaventure would finish second with 53 total points followed by Niagara with 58 total team points. 

The Bonnies were led by senior Kerry Caher. Caher placed second in the field of 43 runners. Battling an ankle injury, the junior got off to a fast start, but was eventually caught by Siobhan Quinn of Canisius for the individual crown. 

Freshman Rachel Guyer started off her collegiate career running a time of 19:45.80 which placed her 12th overall. She was followed by sophomore Hailey Gattuso who finished 13th overall with a time of 19:48.50.

There were a total of 43 runners who competed in the women's race. 

Next Up: The Bonnies will compete in the UB Stampede on Saturday, Sept. 12.
