The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team cruised past the Niagara Purple Eagles Saturday afternoon winning by a final score of 154-79.

The Bonnies were led by Rachel Taylor and Tanja Kirmse. Both of whom were double winners for the Bonnies. Kirmse captured titles in both the 200-yd IM (2:13.47) and the 100-yd freestyle (54.31). Taylor won the 50-yd freestyle (25.61) and the 100-yd backstroke (1:01.84).

Other event winners for St. Bonaventure were Adele Ferris in the  1,000-yd freestyle (11:10.36), Maggie Woods in the 200-yd freestyle (2:01.08), Brittany Hart in the 1 M diving (220.28), Shannon Haberman in the 500-yd freestyle (5:21.80) and Alyssa Levac in the 100-yd breastroke (1:07.59

St. Bonaventure also captured the 200-yd medley when the team of Devon McFadden, Maria Rocchi, Elizabeth Malone and Bridget Jordan finished first with a time of 1:52.12.

NEXT UP: The Bonnies will return home Friday February 5th to take on the University of Buffalo. This will be the last meet of the season before the Bonnies compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships starting February 17th in Ganeva, Ohio.
