WESTON, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University golf team completed competition at the Atlantic 10 Match Play Championship on Tuesday afternoon by scoring a 4-2 victory over Saint Joseph's at the Weston Hills Country Club.

Darren Simons (4&2), Josh Stauffer (2&1), Brent Morgan (2&1) and Patrick Milkovich (2&1) all registered wins for the Bonnies in their respective matches on Tuesday.

Tuesday's action finished up a strong Match Play Championship for Simons who posted a 2-1 overall record in his matches. Simons also won 3&1 in a 4-2 loss to La Salle on Monday.

Stauffer went undefeated during the week, finishing at 1-0-2 overall in matches against competition from Saint Joseph's, La Salle and VCU. The Bonnies, seeded eighth, were defeated by a 4-1 score by top-seeded VCU in Monday's first match.

Several of the Bonnies' matches with A-10 favorite VCU went to the wire – Stauffer and Corey Long each halved their matches while Simons and Patrick Sheerer each lost 5&4 and Brent Morgan fought to a 4&3 finish.

The Bonnies return to action March 7-8 by playing at the Bash at the Beach in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
