The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team completed the 2016 regular season with a 166-69 home loss to the UB Bulls Friday night at the Reilly Center Pool.
The Bonnies were only able to manage one first place finish, which came in the 200-yd freestyle relay. The team of Maggie Woods, Sam Kuchinski, Bridget Jordan and Rachel Taylor finished with a final time of 1:42.14.
Despite not registering a win, Tanja Kirmse performed well Friday evening for the Bonnies. The junior posted two-second place finishes in both the 100-yd butterfly (59.29) and the 1,000-yd freestyle (10:43.85).
In the 100-yd backstroke, the Bonnies finished in the second and third positions. Taylor Hodges finished third with a final time of 1:05.86, and Lex Scanlan finished in second place swimming a time of 1:04.02.
Next Up: The Bonnies will begin preparing for the 2016 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships, which are set to begin Wed. February 17, at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
