The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team stumbled Saturday afternoon, falling to the Richmond Spiders by a score of 7-0. The teams were playing at the The Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.
The Bonnies had chancers early on in their matchup with the Spiders, but were unable to capitalize ultimately falling 7-0.
One of those chances came when Eduardo Irizarry won the first set of his set 6-4, but dropped the next two sets 0-6, 2-6.
Similarly to Irizarry, Victor Blanco won the first set of his match 6-3, but was unable to finish, dropping the next two sets 7-6, 7-6.
Next Up: The Bonnies will look to rebound Sunday Feb. 14th when they welcome Mercyhurst (1-1) to the St. Bonaventure Tennis Center. The matchup is set to begin at 12:00 PM.
