The Starting Five Notes
1.  St. Bonaventure heads east to the Big Apple for its only meeting of the regular season with Fordham.  The Bonnies have won three straight games and stand in a tie for fourth place in the Atlantic 10.
2.  The "big three" of senior forward Dion Wright, senior guard Marcus Posley and sophomore guard Jaylen Adams is the second-highest scoring trio in the A-10 (Davidson is first, and Richmond is third). The three combine to average 53.4 points per game. They all rank in the top 16 scorers in the Atlantic 10 with Posley (18.9) fifth, Adams (18.5) seventh and Wright (16.0) 16th.
3.  While he was very good as a freshman, Adams has made a significant improvement this season. His three-point shooting percentage has improved from .324 to .445, contributing to his 8.5 points-per game jump in scoring. Monday, Adams was named the A-10 Player of the Week after he averaged 25 points per game over two wins last week. He scored a career high 31 points to lead the Bonnies to an 83-73 win at Saint Joseph's Feb. 3, then his 19 points against Saint Louis Feb. 7 included the game-winning three-pointer that landed on ESPN's Top 10 Plays.
4.  With little fanfare, Dion Wright continues to be one of the most effective and productive players in the A-10. He leads all A-10 players with 11 double-doubles and is the second-leading rebounder (9.3) and 14th-leading scorer (16.0) in the conference. His 12th double-double will be the most of any player during Mark Schmidt's nine seasons as coach.
5.  The Bonnies' next win will be the 140th for Mark Schmidt as St. Bonaventure coach, moving him into sole possession of third place on the program's coaching wins list. He is currently tied with Eddie Donovan.

Series History
This will be the 38th meeting in a series that St. Bonaventure leads 22-15. The Bonnies have won eight of the last nine meetings.

St. Bonaventure vs. Fordham: The Last Meeting
March 7, 2015 at the Reilly Center: St. Bonaventure 66, Fordham 52
Led by seniors Youssou Ndoye and Andell Cumberbatch, St. Bonaventure defeated Fordham. The Bonnies completed the regular season 17-12 overall and 10-8 in the Atlantic 10. It took a second-half rally for the Bonnies to earn their third straight win. St. Bonaventure found itself down 28-23 at halftime. But the Bonnies surged into the lead with a decisive 24-4 run over a nine-minute stretch in the second half, during which Fordham did not make a single field goal. The Rams turned the ball over six times and shot 28.6% (8-28) in the second half.

Fordham Quick Notes
• The Rams are tied for ninth place in the A-10 with a 3-7 record in conference play. Fordham is a much-improved team under new coach Jeff Neubauer. The Rams' A-10 wins were over UMass, George Mason and La Salle.
• Fordham's last game was an 82-60 loss to Saint Joseph's last Saturday at Rose Hill Gym. That was only Fordham's third home loss of the season; the Rams are 11-3 at Rose Hill compared to 1-5 on the road.
• Senior Mandell Thomas anchors a three-guard lineup. He leads Fordham in scoring at 14.7 points per game and is making 38 percent of his three-point shots (42-109). Ryan Rhoomes and  Chris Sengfelder log most of the front line minutes; Rhoomes is third in the A-10 in rebounding (8.4).

Adams Now 2x A-10 Player of Week
Last season, a broken finger ended point guard Jaylen Adams' superb freshman season prematurely. Last winter, his injury likely kept the A-10's coaches from putting Adams on the All-Rookie team – a spot that seemed a sure thing considering he was averaging 10 points and 4.5 assists per game and led all A-10 players in assist-to-turnover ratio at the time. Midway through the A-10 season, he has played at an All-Conference level.
• Adams has now been named the A-10 Player of the Week twice this season, most recently for the week ending Feb. 7. That week, the Baltimore, Md., native averaged 25 points per game to lead the Bonnies to wins at Saint Joseph's and over Saint Louis. Adams scored a career high 31 points with seven assists at Saint Joseph's, then followed that with 19 points and four assists against the Billikens. He made the game-winning three-pointer as time expired in the 65-62 decision over Saint Louis.
• For the season, Adams is third in the A-10 in three-point percentage (.445) and ranks seventh in scoring (18.5), second in assists (5.0 per game), sixth in three-pointers per game (2.9) and third in free throw percentage (.879).

Wright Piles Up Double-Doubles
Dion Wright now has 11 double-doubles this season, the most by an Atlantic 10 player this season and tied for the most by any player during Mark Schmidt's nine seasons as Bonnies coach. Seven of Wright's double-doubles have been against A-10 teams.

Schmidt Tied With Donovan For Third On Coaches Win List
Now in his ninth season as head coach at St. Bonaventure, Mark Schmidt has 139 wins with the Bonnies, which is tied with Eddie Donovan for third place on the program's all-time coaching wins list. He recently passed Jim Baron and Mike Reilly. Schmidt is the fourth-longest tenured coach in the Atlantic 10 behind St. Joseph's Phil Martelli (now in his 20th season), LaSalle's John Giannini (12th) and Richmond's Chris Mooney (10th).
