MALVERN, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure golf team stands in 19th place after the first round of the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Villanova.
A tough latter portion of the day kicked the Bonnies down the leaderboard on Monday.
Patrick Milkovich led the way, shooting a four-over 75 and stands in 25th place on the individual leaderboard. Fellow senior Josh Stauffer fired a 78 (+7) while Patrick Sheerer (81), Corey Long (82) and Darren Simons (83) completed the scoring for Bona.
The Bonnies shot a team score of 316 for the day. Wagner paced the field at 289, well ahead of La Salle (298), Delaware (298), Bucknell (298) and Villanova (299) in the 21-team field.
Tee times for the Bonnies on Tuesday begin at 8 a.m. with Simons teeing off first. Long follows at 8:10 a.m. with Sheerer going at 8:20, Stauffer at 8:30 and Milkovich at 8:40 a.m.
