MALVERN, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure University golf team wrapped up its play at the Wildcat Invitational on Tuesday, improving its team score by four shots over the first round of competition to finish in 19th place.
Bona shot a team score of 312 on Tuesday to finish the tournament with a total score of 628.
A trio of 77s led the way for the Bonnies on Tuesday. Seniors Patrick Milkovich, Josh Stauffer and graduate student Darren Simons all carded 77 to close out the day's action. Milkovich paced the Bonnies for the week, finishing at 152 following Monday's 75 to finish in a tie for 37th on the overall leaderboard including over 110 competitors.
Stauffer tallied a 155 (78-77) while Simons was at 160 for the week (83-77). Sophomores Patrick Sheerer (81-81/162) and Corey Long (82-84/166) rounded out the scoring for Bona.
The Bonnies return to action on April 11-12 at the Greenbrier Intercollegiate in Sulphur Springs, West Va.
