The Short Story
St. Bonaventure capped its best Atlantic 10 Conference season ever with a 76-67 win at Saint Louis on Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena. The Bonnies finished 14-4 in the A-10, a school record for conference wins, and 22-7 overall.
Thanks to Dayton's win over VCU in overtime, St. Bonaventure shares the A-10 regular season title with those two teams. It is the first regular season title for the program.
The Bonnies led for all but 53 seconds of the game but the outcome was in doubt until late. It was a 67-61 lead with 3:42 left, but Marcus Posley made a three-pointer from the wing at the 2:34 mark to give the Bonnies some breathing room. Posley added a layup at the 1:48 mark to put St. Bonaventure in control at 72-61.
Led by Jaylen Adams, the Bonnies went 9-18 from three-point range. Adams was 4-8 and led all scorers with 23 points. Posley added 18 and Dion Wright had 16 points and eight rebounds.
St. Bonaventure's 22 wins are tied for the most ever in a regular season in the program's storied history.

- The Bonnies led 41-33 at halftime as Adams wound up with 17 points in the half, going 4-7 from long range.
