ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University golf team stands in 11th place after the first day of competition at the Atlantic 10 Golf Championship following a team score of 319.
Sophomore Corey Long led the way for the Bonnies after firing a 76 at the par-72 Grand Cypress Golf Club. That total puts Long into a tie for 20th on the overall leaderboard.
Senior Josh Stauffer checked in with a 79 while freshman Matt Abendroth carded an 81.
Also in the scoring for the Bonnies were senior Pat Milkovich (83) and graduate student Darren Simons (87).
Dayton and Richmond are tied for the tournament lead at 294.
Round two gets underway Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
