Vis Moves Into Bonnies' Career Points Top 20, But @BonniesWSoccer Drops Sunday Decision at VCU

Box Score

RICHMOND, Va. – Senior Danielle Vis tallied her second goal of the season, but the St. Bonaventure women's soccer team could not overcome a quick start from host VCU Sunday afternoon in a 4-1 setback.

VCU (8-4-3, 4-2-2 Atlantic 10) left the Bonnies stunned after striking for two goals in the first 2:22 of regulation time. Megan Dell scored unassisted at 1:37 for the game's first goal, then less than a minute later it was Lyndsey Gutzmer who found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead right off the bat.

From there, VCU never relinquished control. After a pair of second half goals from the Rams, Vis was able to put the Bonnies on the board. The senior scored from the top of the box, collecting a cross from Sydney Cassagnol and depositing her shot in the low left corner of the net.

With that goal, Vis moves into a tie for 20th all-time in Bonnies career points with 40.

St. Bonaventure has one road game remaining and it will come Thursday at Duquesne with the start time slated for 7 p.m.
