Thursday Oct. 19 – Sunday Oct. 22
Yale University, New Haven, Conn.

STORYLINE
The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team travels to Yale to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals Championship. The Bonnies will be competing in the Northeast Region bracket.

WHEN WE LAST COMPETED
During last year's ITA Regionals, St. Bonaventure's Hector Martinez fell to Fairfield senior Brad Orban by a score of 6-7, 6-1, 6-1. Martinez was later joined by Bonnies sophomore Indra Patwardhan, but were defeated by Lukas Zivkas and Richard Rangga from NJIT, with a score of 8-6.

BLANCO AND MARTINEZ LOOK TO SHINE
Seniors Victor Blanco and Hector Martinez will be paired in doubles for the ITA Regionals and are 2-3 so far together this season. Blanco will be the only Bonnie competing in singles play during the tournament and will be looking to earn his first singles win.

Blanco plays Colgate's Jacob Daugherty in the first round of the singles bracket. Blanco and Martinez will face off against Justin Warren and Yili Zheng from UConn in doubles play.

ABOUT THE ITA REGIONALS
The ITA Regionals feature teams from across the country that compete in different divisions in the NCAA. The ITA oversees activities involving over 20,000 college student-athletes and the Regionals tournament includes the best of the best. The Bonnies have been competing in the tournament since 2009.

NEXT UP
This will be St. Bonaventure's last event of the fall. The Bonnies will resume play with their spring schedule on Friday, January 19 at Loyola (Md.) to face off against the Greyhounds
