David Andoh scored a season high 20 points – 12 in the second half – to help power the Bonnies' comeback. St. Bonaventure trailed by 14 points with 9:50 left but rallied, twice pulling within a point. But the Bonnies never could gain the lead. Tyler Cavanaugh, a fifth-year senior power forward who led all scorers with 33 points, scored a pivotal layup with 59 seconds left that put GW up 70-66. St. Bonaventure did not come closer than three points after that.
St. Bonaventure made it a close game thanks to improved shooting in the second half. The Bonnies trailed 42-29 at halftime after converting just 28 percent (9-32) of its shots. The visitors improved to 14-29 (48 percent) in the second half and also went 10-11 at the free throw line.

The Bonnies were out-rebounded 40-30 and the Colonials made 10 of 20 three-pointers led by Jaren Sina, who was 5-8. St. Bonaventure's backcourt duo of Adams and Mobley had a tough day shooting, going a combined 2-15 from three-point range. The Bonnies were 5-23 from beyond the arc.
St. Bonaventure remains in a tie for fifth place in the Atlantic 10 with La Salle at 7-5.
