STORYLINE

The St. Bonaventure lacrosse team travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on the Army West Point Black Knights Saturday afternoon at Blaik Field at Michie Stadium.
 
 
ABOUT ARMY
  • Army comes into Saturday winning its first two games of the 2017 season, a 13-12 win over Marist and a 11-6 decision over Manhattan. 
  • The Black Knights are led by junior Rachel Hornick. The midfielder has scored 10 goals in two games, and has added one assist for her team-leading 15 points.
  • Complimenting Hornick is attacker Amy Johnston. The junior has found the back of the net four times and has assisted on two more goals.
  • Rounding out the offensive attack is senior Erin Jolleta who leads the team with 6 assists.
  • In net, Maddie Burns has been solid for the cadets. The freshman boasts a .600 save percentage making 15 stops and allowing 10 goals to earn two early season victories.
  • Last season, the Black Knights finished the year with a 5-12 record, and were winless in Patriot League play.
 
BONNIES NEWS AND NOTES
  • The Bonnies are led offensively by Rachel Perla, Scarlet Jaworski and LeighAnn Stauffer, who have each scored two goals on the season.
  • Rounding out the Bonnies' offense are Gabrielle Bradley and Olivia MacDonald, who each have one assist. 
  • Stauffer also leads the team in draw controls with four and caused turnovers with seven.
  • In net, Morgan Conroy has seen the majority of playing time anchoring the Bonnies' defense. The junior has posted a save percentage of .400 in her first two games.
  • The Bonnies are in their second year under head coach Chelsea Rosiek. The second-year head coach led the Brown and White to a 3-14 record in her first season.
