The Starting Five Notes
1.  Two of the top six teams in the Atlantic 10 meet on Saturday in a sold-out Reilly Center. St. Bonaventure has won four of its last five and is in a tie for fourth place in the A-10. VCU has won three in a row to move into a tie for first with Dayton. This will be the only meeting this season between the teams.

2.  St. Bonaventure's defense has improved in A-10 play, primarily over the past five games, when the Bonnies allowed an average of only 60.6 points per game. In their nine A-10 games, the Bonnies have allowed an average of 69 points per game compared to 77 points per game over their 12 non-conference games.

3.  The backcourt of Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley is the fourth-highest scoring teammate tandem in the country, averaging 40.7 points per game. Adams is third in the Atlantic 10 and ranks 15th nationally in scoring (21.5). He also leads the Atlantic 10 in assists and is third in three-point field goals. Mobley ranks fourth in the A-10 at 19.2 points per game and second in three-pointers. Together, they fuel the A-10's second-highest scoring offense (79.3 points/game).

4.  In his first year as a starter, senior Denzel Gregg is playing better than any point in his career. Including last season when he was co-Sixth Man of the Year in the Atlantic 10. He is among the A-10 leaders in rebounding, blocks and field goal percentage and has become a reliable scorer with 15 games in double figures. Gregg has six double-doubles this season.

5.  Junior Idris Taqqee continues to quietly prove he is an invaluable player to Bona's success. Over the last four games, he averaged 9.2 points and 5.2 rebounds with nine steals and five blocks.

Series Notes:
• This will be the seventh meeting between the schools and the fifth since VCU joined the Atlantic 10 in 2013. The series is tied 3-3. St. Bonaventure is 1-3 against the Rams in their meetings as A-10 rivals. The lone win came at the Reilly Center in 2015 when Marcus Posley beat the buzzer to give the Bonnies a 73-71 win.

St. Bonaventure vs. VCU: The Last Meeting:
Jan. 24, 2016 at Siegel Center: VCU 84, Bonnies 76
Marcus Posley scored 30 points but St. Bonaventure came up on the short end of an 84-76 final. The Bonnies led by nine early in the second half as Posley scored the first 13 points of the half for St. Bonaventure. VCU slowly climbed back and eventually took a 63-61 lead with 5:34 left. Posley tied the game at 63, but the Rams surged ahead for good with an 8-2 run after that.

VCU Notes:
• A veteran team, VCU is tied with Dayton for first place in the A-10 at 7-2. The Rams have won their last three games, beating La Salle, Dayton and Richmond at their Seigel Center. VCU's two conference losses were at Davidson and at Fordham.
• The Rams are allowing just 66 points per game, which is second-best in the A-10. VCU also is a strong rebounding team led by its frontline of Mo Alie-Cox and Justin Tillman. Tillman is having a breakout year at 12.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
• Point guard Jequan Lewis leads VCU at 14.5 points per game and is a 39 percent shooter from three-point range. He has 102 assists and 45 steals. Fellow guard Doug Brooks has 43 steals.

Saturday will be St. Bonaventure's first sellout this season and first since the GW game last February.
