STORYLINE
The St. Bonaventure baseball team has a bye weekend from Atlantic 10 competition but will play in non-conference action Friday at Wagner for a doubleheader. The two teams are set for a pair of nine-inning games Friday afternoon beginning at noon inside Richmond County Bank Ballpark, the home of the Class 'A' affiliate of the New York Yankees.

LAST TIME OUT
St. Bonaventure split a doubleheader with Niagara on Tuesday afternoon, taking game one by a 5-1 score before falling in eight innings, 2-1. The doubleheader split gave the Bonnies a 2-1 season series victory over their Little Three rival.

RIDING HIGH
The Bonnies step out of non-conference play riding high after strong back-to-back weekends in Atlantic 10 competition, sweeping Dayton two weeks ago before taking two of three from defending league champion Rhode Island last weekend. In all, the Bonnies are 7-3 over their past 10 games.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
After playing eight straight games at home, the Bonnies will go from April 10 – May 4 without a home game – a span of 15 straight games on the road. SBU is 8-10 away from Fred Handler Park this spring.

COMING IN HOT
SBU as a whole has been playing well, hitting .308 as a team over the past 10 contests. During that span, Cole Peterson has hit .421 (16-for-38) with a .489 on-base percentage and five stolen bases. David Vaccaro has also hit .400 (16-for-40) with two home runs and 11 RBIs, slugging .700. Jared Baldinelli (.357), Aaron Phillips (.342) and T.J. Baker (.323) all have also been swinging hot bats.

BONNIES YOUNG ARMS SHINING
Redshirt freshman Brian Pulli earned his first career win on Tuesday with three innings of relief at Niagara. Pulli has made five appearances this season, all in the last 10 games, posting a 1.04 ERA in 8.2 innings with six strikeouts.

True freshman Casey Vincent has been another young arm giving the Bonnies productive innings – he's 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA over his past two starts, striking out nine in 14.0 innings of work. Fellow redshirt freshman James Wetter also has allowed just one earned run over his last 7.2 innings.
