ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Gabriella Bowe and Nicole Kozinski forced first-set tiebreakers, but the St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team was blanked by Akron, 7-0, in its home opener on Friday morning.

Bowe dropped a close match after forcing a tiebreak in the first set vs. Rita Pedroso, 7-6(2), 6-4. Kozinski followed Bowe in forcing a tiebreak in the first set of her match against Akron's Carla Flores but lost, 7-6(5), 6-0.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday afternoon as they host Bucknell at the St. Bonaventure Tennis Center. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m.
