BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. – Jack Geise fired a 72, the best round of the day, to power the St. Bonaventure golf team to a victory over Army in a head-to-head match Friday afternoon at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.

The Bonnies won by 10 strokes, posting a team score of 301 to best Army's total of 311.

Geise matched his low round of the year as the Bonnies scored victory at one of the standout courses on the East Coast.

Christian Chapman continued his strong play this fall, posting 3-over 73. Danny Gianniny carded 75. Evan Rowane and Peter Byrne were also in the lineup and each finished with 81. Andrew LaCongo was the final player in the six-player lineup, finishing at 86.

Patrick Song led the way for Army, matching Geise's 72. The Black Knights struggled with the challenging layout, though, with just one more player breaking 80 – Gary Bullard who finished with 79.

Playing as an individual, Lance Sininger had a solid day, coming home with 74. Also playing as individuals for the Bonnies were Jude Cummings (76), Aidan Shaw (79), Erik Stauderman (82) and Andrew Lemay (83).

St. Bonaventure returns to action with another head-to-head match vs. Siena in the renewal of the Murray Cup at Schuyler Meadows outside Albany Friday, Oct. 8.
