Box Score VESTAL, N.Y. – Asianae Johnson's game-high 20 points and Tori Harris' 15 points sparked the St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team to a 63-55 win at Binghamton Saturday afternoon.
Johnson finished the afternoon 7-for-14 from the field and added a team-high five assists. Also scoring in double figures for the Bonnies was I'yanna Lops who chipped in 12 points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds.
Harris' layup with 6:24 remaining in the fourth put the Bonnies up four, 52-48.
It would be three minutes before either team would score as Binghamton's Denai Bowman converted a layup to cut the Bonnies lead to two, 52-50, with just over three minutes to go.
An intentional foul sent Harris to line for a pair and she converted to push the Bonnies lead to six, 56-50.
Lops' layup with 33 seconds remaining put the Bonnies up seven, earning the road victory.
Coming out of the locker room at halftime, the Bonnies scored the first three baskets and pushing their lead back to eight, 37-29.
The Bearcats shooting came to life towards the end of the third as they made three 3-pointers to close out the third, trimming the Bonaventure lead to four, 48-44.
The Bonnies got off to a fast start Saturday, opening the contest with an 8-0 run to take the early lead.
Binghamton responded with a 7-2 spurt to pull within three, 10-7, midway through the first period.
The Brown and White outscored the Bearcats 9-2 over the final four minutes to take a 10-point, 19-9, advantage after one.
It was all Bonnies to open the second quarter, making their first three baskets to push their lead to 13, 26-13, forcing Binghamton to take an early timeout.
The Bearcats, however, stormed back just before halftime, using a 9-0 surge to cut the Bona's lead to, 31-29, at the break.
The Bonnies are back on the road Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Niagara. Tip is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

·       Saturday marked the first career start for freshman Taylor Napper.
·       The Bonnies finished +6 in rebounds, outrebounding Binghamton 34-28.
·       Bona's dominated the painted area, outscoring the Bearcats 46-24 inside.
·       The Brown and White finished the contest with a 44.6 percent (25-for-52) despite shooting only 2-of-11 from beyond the arc.
