ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's tennis team defeated St. Francis, 6-1, Sunday morning at the SBU Fitness Center.
The Bonnies (1-1) began the match by winning all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point from the Red Flash.
At No. 3 doubles, Paolo Flores and Jean Marrero earned the win in a set tiebreaker, 7-6, over Jordi Garcia and Samuel Ghigiarelli, securing the sweep.
The Bonnies went on to win five out of the six singles matches to secure the victory. Martin Estevarena and Stijn Paardekooper picked up straight set wins while Marco Rivolo, Norka Sanchez and Marrero earned three-set victories.
The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Feb. 26 on the road at Youngstown State. That match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
