The St. Bonaventure golf team opened the 2021 season at the Ross Collegiate Invitational at Mid-Pines Golf Club.
The Bonnies showed some rust in the opener, finishing 13th in the 13-team field (320-303-309/932).
Senior Danny Gianniny finished tied for 24th individually out of 82 players. His second round 68 tied for the low round of the week (78-68-79/225).
Fellow senior Christian Chapman (79-77-71/227) placed in a tie for 30th on the leaderboard.
Also competing in the lineup were senior Jack Geise (81-77-77/235), junior Erik Stauderman (82-81-82/245) and sophomore Lance Sininger (85-87-88/260). Freshman Jude Cummings played as an individual (82-94-86/262).
The Bonnies return to action March 28-30 at the Golden Horsehoe Intercollegiate.
