ANNAPOLIS, MD – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team began the 2022 spring season with a pair of matches against Loyola (MD) and Navy Friday and Saturday.

The Bonnies fell to the Greyhounds, 5-2, Friday and then dropped a 6-1 decision to Navy Saturday evening.

Stijn Paardekooper and Marco Rivolo paced the Bonnies in both matches with Paardekooper going 2-0 in singles on the weekend.

Paardekooper bested Loyola's Skyler Gates in straight sets while Rivolo took down Edik Pribitkin in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 10-7. The Bonnies pair was also victorious at No. 1 doubles, winning 6-0.

A native of Voorburg, Netherlands, Paardekooper was the lone victor against Navy, beating Jake Fishkin in three sets 62, 5-7, 10-4, at No. 1 doubles.

The Bonnies are back in action Sunday, Jan. 30 at Cornell.
