PHILADELPHIA – The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision on the road at Saint Joseph's Saturday evening.
The Hawks (3-5-8, 2-1-4 A-10) opened the scoring under 10 minutes into the contest and never looked back.
Kenyatta Collins notched the first Saint Joseph's goal in the eighth minute off a feed from Garrett Lyons.
The Hawks made it a two-goal game in the 62nd minute off the foot of Omry Perel, curling a shot into the right side of the net.
Lyons capped off the scoring for Saint Joseph's in the 71st minute, earning the victory for the Hawks.
Xaver Erhlich had a chance to tie the game in the first half with a rocket shot towards goal, but was turned away by the Hawks goalkeeper.
Matthew Wrobel and Luca Nicastro registered three shots apiece for the Bonnies (3-9-3, 0-5-2 A-10).
In net, Jules Dechert made seven saves for the visitors.
The Bonnies return home for the regular season finale Saturday, Oct. 29 against VCU. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
