After being off on Thursday, the St. Bonaventure women's soccer team makes the trip to Rhode Island for a Sunday Atlantic 10 battle.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Bonnies fell, 1-0, to UMass Sunday afternoon.
- Graduate forward Cristina Torres recorded a team-high three shots, while seniors Christine Napoli and Amber Achladis each tallied a shot on goal.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Chiara Gottinger matched her career-high with 13 saves, which she previously matched this season at Niagara.
- Gottinger has posted eight games this season with nine or more saves.
FIRST IN THE NATION
- Gottinger leads all Division I goalkeepers with 111 total saves this season.
- She is currently fourth in the nation and first in the conference in saves per game (8.54).
- The second-year keeper sits 17th in the nation and first in the A-10 with an 87 percent save percentage.
ABOUT RHODE ISLAND
- The Rams are currently 1-7-6 overall with a conference record of 0-3-3.
- Tierra Garniss has scored a team-high four goals this season, while Brooke Cavino has netted three scores.
- In net Faith Hutchins has made 35 saves in 11 games played this year.
- The Rams lost, 3-1, at Fordham Sunday afternoon.
- Rhode Island is tabbed to finish ninth in the A-10, according to the 2022 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll.
- Last season, the Bonnies defeated Rhode Island 1-0 in double-overtime. Cristina Torres scored the game-winner.
