CLEVELAND —The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team took to action at the Magnus Cup hosted by Cleveland State starting on Thursday and concluding Saturday. The Bonnies earned a sixth place finish out of 11 teams, scoring 383 points for the event.

Akron, Duquesne and Xavier comprised the top-three respectively.Â

The 200-yard freestyle relay team kicked things off for the Brown and White with a solid seventh-place finish for the event. The team comprised of
Halle Myers,
Ellie Kraus,
Rylie Foley and
Amy O'Rourke touched the wall in 1:34.88.

Myers didn't stop there, grabbing a runner-up in the 'A' final of the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday. Her time of 23.34 was a season-best by half a second. Kraus finished ninth in the same event for the Bonnies, posting 23.84, a season's best for her as well.

Kraus was a part of the 400-medley relay team that earned a sixth-place finish, teaming up with
Allison Lenda,
Beth Thomas, and
Silvana Cabrera for a time of 3:48.35.

The Brown and White found themselves in fifth-place after the opening day with 133 points.
Â
Friday kicked off with the Bonnies' 200-medley team of Myers, Lenda, Thomas and Cabrera earning a sixth-place finish with a time of 1:44.25. Cabrera added a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly, her time of 55.85 was a season-best by more than a second and a half.

Kathryn Beyer earned her way into the 'A' final for Bona's in the 200-freestyle, placing 10
th at 1:52.77, while Lenda's time of 57.07 placed ninth in the 'A' final of the 100-backstroke.

Beyer kicked things off on Saturday, securing the Brown and White's first top 10 of the day in the 200-backstroke. Beyer touched the wall in 2:04.62 to come in ninth.

Kraus was back in the water on the Magnus Cup's third and final day to pick up a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. Her time of 51.18 cut exactly a half-second off her previous season best for the event.

Cabrera added another season-best time for Bona's at 2:04.37 in the 200-butterfly, good enough to secure sixth in the 'A' final.

The Bonaventure quartet Myers, Kraus, Beyer and O'Rourke capped off the event on Saturday evening competing in the 400-freestyle relay. The team's 3:25.60 placed fourth.

The Bonnies take to the pool one more time in the 2022 calendar year, when they host Canisius at the Reilly Center on Dec. 3, before resuming their season in January. The meet against the Griffs will serve as the program's Lyme Disease Awareness Meet.
