FAIRFAX, Va. – The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team dropped an afternoon Atlantic 10 matchup, 15-7, at George Mason on Friday.
 
Madison Mundenar struck first for the Bonnies by netting her fourth goal of the season two minutes into the game.
 
After Mundenar's goal, the Patriots scored nine straight goals for a 9-1 cushion into the middle of the second quarter.
 
The Bonnies (1-8, 0-3 A-10) responded with four goals in the second period to cut the Patriots advantage to 10-5 at halftime.
 
Maddie Mazur, Riley Schott, and Nora Anderson each scored goals in the second period.
 
Mazur and Anderson would finish with two goals on the afternoon to pace the Bonnies scoring attack.
 
George Mason (2-8, 1-3 A-10), however, would go back on the gas and outscore the Bonnies in the second half, 5-2.
 
Shannon Tuozzo (four goals), Olivia O'Brien (four goals), and Ioanna Mantzouratos (two goals, two assists) were the leaders for the Patriots.
 
For St. Bonaventure, Schott tallied her first two career goals, while Abby Hiltz recorded the lone assist for the Brown and White, bringing her team-leading point total to 20.
 
In the cage, Ashley Herrick finished with 11 saves for the Bonnies.
 
Goalkeeper Meghan Deehan (10 saves) picked up the win for the Patriots in net.
 
The Bonnies will stay in the area of the nation's capital to battle George Washington on Sunday. Game time is scheduled for noon.
