Canisius Takes Midweek Matchup

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Canisius came away with a Little Three baseball victory, 11-1, Tuesday afternoon inside Handler Park at McGraw-Jennings Field.

The Golden Griffs (15-14) scored twice in the opening inning, but the Bonnies would answer back when Matthew Williams drilled a hit down the right field line to plate Ben Berger.

Unfortunately for the Bonnies, that would be the extent of their scoring.

Canisius added a run in the third and a 3-1 tally remained until the fifth when the Griffs broke things open with a five-spot.

Branden Myers had two hits and pitched a scoreless an inning, the first collegiate inning on the hill for the senior shortstop. Jackson DeJohn also had two hits for the Bonnies.

Trevor Henneman drove in three runs for the Griffs while Brenndan Chisholm recorded two RBIs and Mike DeStefano posted three hits.

St. Bonaventure welcomes Davidson to Handler Park Friday to begin a three-game series. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
