BUFFALO – Canisius rallied in the last two innings and won on a walk-off two-run home run from Jake Zurat, 10-8, Tuesday evening at the Demske Sports Complex.
Christian Szablewski gave the Bonnies an early lead with his two-run double to left center, but the Griffs would take a 3-2 lead after four.
Bona's surged ahead, though on a five-run sixth, highlighted by a massive three-run homer off the bat of Danny Manion for a 7-6 edge.
The Bonnies added a run in the eighth, following a Jagger Nucci leadoff double and wild pitch with a sacrifice squeeze executed well by Jake Biscailuz.
Unfortunately for the Brown and White, the Griffs tied the game with two unearned runs following an error in the eighth, then won the game on Zurat's pinch-hit homer with one away in the final frame.
Manion finished a triple shy of the cycle while Biscailuz also had two hits, as did Szablewski.
St. Bonaventure hosts Richmond for a three-game Atlantic 10 series beginning Friday.
