ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The honors continue to roll in for St. Bonaventure goalie Brett Dobson as the recent Premier Lacrosse League draft pick has earned multiple All-America selections.

Dobson was named to the Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Second Team, announced by officials Sunday night. As has been the case since the list's creation, the Media All-Americans were announced during halftime of the last game of the NCAA Tournament First Round.

Lacrosse media members across the country were asked to select three first team, three second team, three third team and three honorable mention attackmen, midfielders and defensemen, two first-team, second-team, third-team and honorable mention shortstick d-middies then one first-team, second-team, third-team and honorable mention face-off specialists, longstick middies and goalies. The teams were selected based on the cumulative total of points received (four for first-team, three for second-team, two for third-team and one for honorable mention). Honorable mention honors were conferred to every player who received a vote from multiple voters.

Dobson was one of three goalies named to the All-America teams along with First Team selection Owen McElroy of Georgetown and Third Team Liam Entenmann of Notre Dame.

He was previously named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-America Second Team last week as well.

The Oshawa, Ontario native is the first All-American selection in St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse history. He was also the first goalie selected in last week's PLL Draft, picked 12th overall by the Archers Lacrosse Club.

He led the nation this season in save percentage (.665) on the way to being named MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. For the year he made 252 saves and finished his career with 569 total stops. His 8.9 goals against average this spring stands sixth in the nation. He was a key reason the Bonnies ranked fourth nationally in scoring defense, allowing under nine goals per game to opponents.

Dobson turned away 14 or more shots in 12 of 15 games this year, including 19 or more saves eight times. His 27 saves in the MAAC semifinal win over Siena on May 5 set the school record.
