Bonnies Fall To Fordham, 3-0

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team fell to Fordham, 3-0, Saturday evening at the Marra Athletics Complex.

The Bonnies and the Rams played a scoreless first 45 minutes, before the visitors seized momentum in the 50th minute with the first goal of the game.

Ben Shepard put the Rams on the board just a few minutes into the second half with assists from Adrian Valentine and Savvas Christoforou.

Fordham (3-1-4, 1-0-1 A-10) tacked on an insurance goal by way of a penalty kick off the foot of Jack Sluys in the 76th minute.

Jed Dixon gave the Rams a third score just over a minute later, having just subbed into the game, fired a shot into the back of the net in the 77th minute.

The Bonnies' best chance of the evening came in the 25th minute when Peter Massaquoi found himself alone in front of net, but his shot went off the post.

Nicolas Pucci started in net for the Bonnies (3-5-1, 0-2-0 A-10), making six saves on the night.

Matthew Wrobel and Luca Nicastro led the Bonnies with three shots each and Massaquoi registered a pair of chances.
