Three Second Half Goals Propel Davidson To Victory Over Bonnies

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision against Davidson Sunday afternoon at Marra Athletics Complex.

Three second half goals propelled the Wildcats to their victory after a scoreless first half.

In the 65th minute, Charlotte Snead kicked the ball off a Bonnies defender in the box and found the foot of Alli Jacobson for Davidson's first score of the game.

Shortly after, the Wildcats took a 2-0 lead when sophomore goalkeeper Chiara Gottinger was out of position due to strong pressure and ended up leaving the net open for a goal from Remi White in the 71st minute.

Davidson (9-2-1, 2-2 A-10) capped off the afternoon four minutes later when Sophia Caruso netted a loose ball off a free kick from Hailey Braemer.

The Bonnies best chance to answer back came in the 80th minute when junior Lydia Choban fired a shot and it deflected off the diving Davidson goalkeeper Mary Grace Bunch.

St. Bonaventure (2-4-5, 0-4 A-10) had a team-high two shots apiece from Rachel Hutchison and McKenna Robinson.

Sophia Caruso and Hailey Braemer each recorded four shots for the Wildcats.

Gottinger made five saves in the game, bringing her season total to 91 stops. She currently ranks first in the nation in total saves.

The Bonnies continue their three-game homestand by hosting George Mason on Thursday, Sept. 29. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
