Women's Soccer Falls to George Mason, 3-1

Box Score FAIRFAX, Va.—The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 contest at George Mason on Thursday evening. 
 
Despite an early scoring opportunity from senior McKenna Robinson, the Bonnies went into halftime trailing 1-0. 
 
The Patriots found the back of the net in the 40th minute and would take the advantage to the intermission. The Bonnies took two shots in the opening frame, but couldn't get anything on frame. 
 
The Bonnies offense came out of halftime energized, possessing the ball in their offensive third. Taking looks at net in the opening minutes of the second half for the Bonnies were Olivia Allen and Elisabeth Ptacek.
 
With 20 minutes to play, Ava Myers enter the game and made an instant impact as she scored the equalizer for the Brown and White. Initially giving the ball to Allen at the top of the box, she sent it right back to Myers who sent a powerful shot past the Mason keeper. 
 
The Patriots almost immediately took back their lead, scoring in the 73rd minute. They would add another at the 87 minute mark to shut the door on St. Bonaventure. 
 
The Bonnies return home to the Marra Athletics Complex on Sunday as they welcome George Washington for senior celebrations.
