The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team makes its home debut when the Bonnies host Canisius Wednesday, Feb. 15. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Bonnies dropped their season opener on the road at Little Three rival Niagara, 13-5.
- Leading the way for the Bonnies was freshman attacker Brooke Piper, who scored twice in her debut.
- Sophomore Jessica Notaro, senior Sarah Owens, and freshman Megan Schillinger delivered their first goals of the year.
- The team was led in shots by sophomore attack Fiona McGovern with four shots. McGovern and freshman Grace Hollenbeck both added assists on the afternoon for the Bonnies.
ABOUT CANISIUS
- Canisius enters Wednesday with an 1-0 record, defeating Detroit Mercy 16-5 in their season opener this past Sunday.
- The Golden Griffins posted a 10-6 overall record last season.
- Graduate attacker Skylar McArthur was named to the 2023 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason All-League Team.
- This season the Golden Griffins are led by Caroline Netti (four goals), Paige Stachura (four goals), and Kaitlyn Salce (one goal, two assists).
- In net, freshman Jody Chu has recorded 10 saves this season.
- Canisius was picked to finish tied for fifth in the 2023 MAAC preseason poll.
