ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Six St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse student-athletes have earned selection to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for their success in the classroom and in competition during their Bonnies careers: Rylee Gonzalez, Kierstin Hillis, Grace Hollenbeck, Brooke Piper, Megan Schillinger and Sidney Van Tassel.
Gonzalez, a native of Syracuse, earned her degree in physical education last month with a cumulative GPA of 3.68. A selection to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in each of her three years with the Bonnies after playing at Gardner-Webb as a freshman, she was key to the program's success in recent seasons. She started 46 of 54 career games, tallying 100 points with the Bonnies (53G-47A), including a career-best 23 goals and 44 total points this spring. She completed her college career with 128 points overall.
Hillis owns a 3.74 GPA as a business management major. A rising senior, she joined the Bonnies this season after playing her first two college seasons at High Point. An attacker from Cincinnati, Ohio, she logged seven goals and five assists for 12 points this year in 18 games with the Brown and White.
Hollenbeck becomes a three-time Academic All-District selection as a physical education major graduating with a 3.91 cumulative GPA. One of Bona's most consistent performers the last four years, she registered 25 or more points in every season of her career, finishing with 114 points (75G-39A) in 71 career games. The Baldwinsville, N.Y. native became the 20th player in program history to eclipse 100 career points with the Bonnies.
One of the most accomplished athletes in Bonnies lacrosse history, Piper achieves CSC Academic All-District status for the third time as well following a record-setting season. In the classroom, the psychology major boasts a 3.89 cumulative GPA while on the field she stands at or near the top of nearly every Bonnies offensive record. The 2026 Atlantic 10 Midfielder of the Year, she owns the school record for career goals with 189, good for 35 more tallies than any other player in program history. The Aurora, Ontario native also ranks second in total points with 224 and is also second in draw controls at 271.
Schillinger earns her second consecutive Academic All-District selection after graduating with a degree in accounting and a 3.86 cumulative grade point average. Like Piper, she was picked to the Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team and was also an All-Conference honoree following her senior season. The Rush, N.Y. native completed her Bonnies career as the program's all-time leader in draw controls (312) while also posting 81 career points (60G-21A) following career-bests in goals (28), assists (11) and points (39) this spring.
Van Tassel, an accounting major from Vernon, N.J., has recorded a 3.93 GPA in the classroom and two strong seasons on the field. The rising junior was an Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman with 19 points and this spring took the next step on the field. She started all 19 games while netting 30 goals and finishing the year with 36 total points along with 27 groundballs and 42 draw controls. She is also an A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
