HONOLULU – The St. Bonaventure University softball team fell to Santa Clara, 8-0, Saturday afternoon in the final game in Hawaii.
Brooke Bobbey reached base twice for the Bonnies with a single and a walk. Zoey Kota belted a double while Syndey Rose also registered a hit for the Brown and White.
Santa Clara jumped ahead in the bottom of the first, plating four runs on a pair of singles.
The Broncos added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth and drove scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
Elizabeth Lis earned the start for the Bonnies, tossing 4.2 innings and striking out a pair. Kayla Ziemke worked the final 1.0 inning in relief.
The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, March 11 against Mount St. Mary's and Central Connecticut State at the Mount St. Mary's Tournament.
