Bonnies Faceoff With George Mason Saturday

The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team will take on George Mason Saturday, April 15. The game is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. Prior to and during the contest the Bonnies will be raising awareness and collecting donations for the CJD Foundation.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • The Bonnies fell short in a back and forth battle on the road at Saint Joseph's, falling 13-11.
  • Jessica Notaro (5 goals, 1 assist) led the offensive attack for the Bonnies, scoring five goals along with an assist.
  • Fiona McGovern chipped in two goals and two helpers.
  • In the cage, senior Ashley Herrick collected 13 saves for St. Bonaventure.
     
RAISING AWARENESS
  • St. Bonaventure will be wearing purple hair ties during Saturday's game as part of their support for the CJD Foundation
  • The CJD Foundation supports families of those suffering from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

CAGE STATS
  • Ashley Herrick had made 122 saves so far this season.
  • The senior from Reno, NV currently ranks 14th in the nation in total saves and 22nd in saves per game. She also ranks first and second in the A-10 in those statistical categories.
 
ABOUT GEORGE MASON
  • George Mason enters the matchup with a record of 2-10, most recently falling to Davidson, 19-7.
  • This season Shannon Tuozzo (34 goals), Morgan Gunn (21 goals), Kate Elam (18 goals) lead the team in scoring, while Gunn has tallied a team-high six assists.
  • In net, Meghan Deehan has started all 12 games for the Patriots and recorded 99 saves so far this season.
  • The Patriots have leveled off as the season has gone on, going 2-3 in their last five games after starting the 2023 campaign with an 0-7 record.
 
UP NEXT
  • The Bonnies will hit the road as they travel to take on non-conference opponent Saint Francis on Wednesday, April 19. The game is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
