ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse head coach
LeighAnn Stauffer has announced the program's 2027 schedule, highlighted by eight home contests at the Marra Athletics Complex.
Â
The Bonnies are fresh off a historical 2026 season in which the program compiled a 10-7 regular season record and earned its first ever Atlantic 10 Tournament victory, taking down George Washington in the quarterfinals, 10-8, before eventually falling to VCU in the semifinals, 18-11.
Â
The Brown and White will kick things off in non-conference play with two home contests, hosting Bucknell on Feb. 10 and Youngstown State on Feb. 17.
Â
The Bonnies have faced Bucknell in five of the last six seasons, going 2-3 in those contests. The Bison snuck away with a 14-13 home victory last year en route to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals. SBU holds a 2-1 all-time record over the Penguins after collecting victories in 2024 and 2025.
Â
Next, Bonaventure will rack up the miles on a four-game road trip, set to face Le Moyne on Feb. 20, Colgate on Feb. 24, South Florida on Feb. 28 and Jacksonville on March 2.
Â
The Bonnies are 5-1 historically against the Dolphins, though the two programs have not matched up since the 2006 season when Le Moyne fell, 14-12. SBU will be searching for its first win against Colgate after dropping last year's season opener to the Raiders at the Marra Athletics Complex, 14-12.
Â
After going 11-4 in the 2026 regular season and reaching the American Conference Tournament semifinals, South Florida will welcome the Bonnies to Tampa in 2027 for just the second meeting all-time between the two programs. Bona will then battle against Jacksonville for the first time since the 2010 season, in which the Dolphins earned a tightly contested 14-12 win.
Â
Bona will then wrap up conference play at home against a familiar foe, welcoming Little Three rival Niagara to the Marra Athletics Complex on March 10. SBU holds the all-time advantage with an 11-9 record which the team extended with a 14-6 victory on the road last season.
Â
To begin Atlantic 10 play, the Brown and White will stay at home to host George Mason on March 13, looking to pick up a third straight win after beating the Patriots in 2025, 16-11, and in 2026, 16-8.
Â
The Bonnies will then undergo their first road conference tests, traveling to oppose Saint Joseph's on March 20 and Duquesne on March 24. SBU currently holds a four-game winning streak over the Dukes dating back to the 2023 campaign.
Â
Next, Bona will return home to host a perennial A10 contender in Richmond on March 27, remaining at home to welcome La Salle on April 3, when the squad will be looking to extend another four-game winning streak in the conference.
Â
On April 10, SBU will travel to compete against George Washington in a rematch of last season's A10 quarterfinals before returning home to host Rhode Island on April 17. To wrap up the regular season, the team will go on the road once more, facing VCU on April 24 in a rematch of last year's A10 semifinals, before hosting its final game of the 2027 season against Davidson on May 1. Last season, the Bonnies beat Davidson on the road for the first time in program history, winning 8-6.
Â
The top four teams from the regular season standings will advance to the Atlantic 10 Tournament, which will be held May 6-9.
