ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team posted their second draw of the season against Marist on Thursday afternoon. Neither team found the back of the net resulting in the scoreless tie.
Three Bonnies recorded a shot on goal. The best scoring opportunity came from
Sydney Hayward in the 72
nd minute, but the Marist keeper punched the high shot over the crossbar.
Christine Napoli and
Alexa Martinos also challenged the Marist keeper with their shots coming in the 13
th and 44
th minutes respectively.
The Red Foxes led the way in the opening frame with four shots on goal and added two more in the second.
Mackenzie Nolan posted the shutout for the Bonnies and played all 90 minutes in net. It was the first game action for the senior keeper since the spring 2021 season and her first career shutout.
Marist opted to switch netminders at the break as Kelly Lambertson made two saves in the first 45 minutes and Maddy Cattalanotti made one in the second.
The Bonnies continue their homestand on Sunday as they matchup with Detroit Mercy at 12 p.m.
