ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team is set for the 2023 fall season to get underway Friday, Sept. 15 at the Navy Invitational.
The Bonnies compete at Navy for three days from Sept. 15-18. Following their trip to Maryland, the Bonnies travel to the University of Penn for the ITA Regionals Oct. 6. Bona's concludes the fall season Oct. 21-23 at the Bloomsburg Invitational.
Bonnies head coach Michael Bates enters his 28th season at the helm, beginning the season with 232 wins with the men's team. He returns seven members of the 2022-23 roster and added one student-athlete for the new campaign.
Returning for Coach Bates in 2023-24 are seniors Norka Sanchez and Jean Marrero as well as sophomores Hugo Cochlin, Rasmus Egehus, Anargha Ganguly and Connor Turner. Turner led the Bonnies with 15 singles wins last season while Ganguly tallied 13 victories and Egehus registered 12. Graham joined the program for the spring season and sported a 9-3 record at the top doubles flight with Egehus, earning Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference accolades.
New to the roster this season is Arjun Pindiprolu who joins the team from Williamsville, N.Y. He compiled a 65-13 record in singles and doubles during his career at Williamsville East.
The Bonnies finished 2022-23 with a 10-10 record overall, touting a 7-2 record on home court.
