The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team returns home to host Davidson Wednesday, Jan. 31. Tip is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Reilly Center.
OPENING TIP
The Bonnies look to get back on track and snap an eight-game losing streak following a 64-43 loss on the road at Dayton Sunday afternoon. Bona's was led by Nadechka Laccen and Dani Haskell who each chipped in 13 points.
Bona's was able to tie the game at 24-24 in the third quarter following a 6-0 run that was capped off by a Laccen three. Dayton, however, used an 8-0 run later in the third quarter to pull away by double digits and never looked back.
The Brown and White forced 18 Dayton turnovers and outscored the Flyers in points off turnovers, 20-8.
TRENDING NUMBERS
5 – The Bonnies have won five out of seven matchups against Davidson inside the Reilly Center. Bona's is averaging 70.4 points per game in home victories over the Wildcats.
37.5 – Redshirt senior Claire Cody is shooting 37.5 percent from beyond the arc this season and ranks second on the team with 24 made 3-pointers. Cody currently ranks 12th in the Atlantic 10 in three-point percentage.
50 – Sophomore Kirah Dandridge appeared in her 50th career game Sunday at Dayton while also making her 14th career start. Dandridge has registered career-highs in total rebounds (92) and assists (43) this season.
80 – The Bonnies have made at least one 3-pointer in 80 consecutive contests. The last time the Bonnies did not make a three in a game was against Siena Nov. 11, 2021.
DAVIDSON NOTES
- Davidson enters Wednesday's contest 14-6 overall and 4-5 in Atlantic 10 play. The Wildcats have picked up A-10 wins over Massachusetts, Fordham, La Salle and Dayton while also capturing non-conference victories over ACC opponents Wake Forest and Duke. Davidson received votes in the Associated Press Top 25 poll from Nov. 20 to Jan. 8 and also received votes in the Coaches Poll from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2. Davidson was picked to finish seventh in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
- Gayle Fulks is in her seventh season at the helm of the Wildcats, touting a 100-99 career coaching record. Fulks has guided Davidson to 15 or more wins in three seasons, including 18 during the 2021-22 season. She is 7-3 all-time against the Bonnies.
- The Wildcats are led offensively by Elle Sutphin who is averaging 12.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Millie prior leads the team in rebounding, grabbing 7.5 boards per contest while also averaging 10.7 points per game. Suzi-Rose Deegan was averaging a team-best 13.3 point before suffering a season-ending injury against George Mason Jan. 10.
SERIES HISTORY
The Bonnies and Wildcats are set to meet for the 14th time Wednesday evening. Davidson holds the narrow edge in the all-time series, 7-6, and has won the last four matchups. The two sides met last season in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament with Davidson coming out on top, 70-51.
Bona's is 5-2 all-time at the Reilly Center against Davidson. The Bonnies last beat the Wildcats Feb. 8, 2021, 71-63, at The RC. Coach Crowley is 2-0 all-time against the Wildcats.

The Bonnies are back in action following their bye weekend when they travel to take on George Washington Wednesday, Feb. 7. Tip is slated for 6:00 p.m. in the nation's capital.
